As part of our dedication to provide high-quality healthcare services to our community, Baxter Regional Medical Center operates the Home Health organization, which offers services to residents of Baxter and Marion counties.  The Home Health Division was awarded 4- and 5-star ratings for quality of patient care from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services several years in a row.  The medical staff at Baxter Regional Home Health works to implement the physician's customized plan for the care of each individual patient.  A registered nurse is available at all hours for admission of new patients, addressing urgent situations and answering questions. The integration of Home Health with BRMC provides an easy transition from hospital to in-home care.  This enables patients to recuperate in their own homes with the utmost professionalism and diligence that is synonymous with Baxter Regional Medical Center Home Health.

You, as a Registered Nurse in home health would provide one on one skilled nursing care and treatment to patients in their homes using a comprehensive and patient specific care plan.  You will have the opportunity to spend quality time with the patient, in the patient's home, to promote health and independence; have autonomy in addition to the support and collaboration of a full team of healthcare professionals while managing a case load; maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations and agency policies; and provide accurate documentation and follow-up of patient findings to provide optimal patient outcomes.  Adaptability is essential for you, the home health RN, as work schedule and daily work load change frequently to meet patient needs.  Acute medical surgical experience and outstanding critical thinking skills are needed to meet the needs of the patient. 

 

Requirements include: 

·         Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, ADN required. 

·         Current AR License in good standing or Compact State. 

·         Valid and clean Driver's License, reliable transportation and agency required liability insurance to complete home visits. 

·         Active personal automobile liability insurance coverage consisting of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident for bodily injury. 

·         Minimum of one (1) year acute care nursing experience.

·         BLS.

·         Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred qualifications:

·         BSN or MSN

·         Previous nursing experience in a medical-surgical environment

This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana. 

This is a position outside of the hospital setting, which is open 24hours a day, 365 days per year. Holidays and work during inclement weather will be required. Work hours will occasional exceed the normal work hours of 8am to 5pm. On-call/Back-up Call responsibilities is shared among all full time nursing staff.

  • Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience required.  Previous nursing experience in a medical-surgical environment preferred.
  • BLS required.
