Inpatient Rehabilitation
The 23-bed Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Baxter Regional Medical Center utilizes a strong interdisciplinary approach for meeting our organization's mission of "Providing Excellent Care to Every Patient, Every Time." The nursing team works closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as with our unit's dedicated social worker, medical director, and nurse practitioner to help patients who have suffered major physical and functional events in their lives, regain as much function and independence as possible. On this unit you will see a wide variety of diagnoses such as CVAs, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, Orthopedics, including Traumatic Injuries, Amputations, Cardiac, and many others. Many of the nurses on the unit are Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurses, and use their advanced training to help train newer nurses and provide better outcomes for the patients we serve. As a nurse of the Rehab Unit you will build a strong medical/surgical foundation as well as develop the skills needed to help heal patients from a functional standpoint. Our unit just underwent a complete remodel with state of the art upgrades to enhance the patient experience and safety while on the unit. Our team is a family who provides exceptional care to our patients, as well as care for each other. We provide comprehensive training and orientation program for nurses new to this specialty and offer continuing educational opportunities as well. If you want to be a part of a team where leadership takes care of you, so you can take care of the patient, Acute Inpatient Rehab could be the unit for you. We welcome new RN Residents!
